What Others Say About SOS Global

Mark Escott

CEO & Co-founder of Life Chance

"It’s rare that you come across someone as talented, confident and committed to their work as Dawn. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and working with Dawn for 25 years on several projects.

I have always been impressed by Dawn’s ability to engage the young people in her SOS workshops and make a dramatic difference in their lives (these students are not an easy audience!)"

Stephen Farmer

Head of Campus at Cranbrook Education Campus

"Dawn and her team delivered high-quality workshops on knife crime (KS3) and ASB, drug and alcohol awareness (KS4). Our pupils really engaged with the hands-on activities and we would highly recommend these workshops as part of a high-quality PSHE curriculum."

Julie Hawker

Joint CEO at Cosmic

"Dawn is an inspirational leader in social enterprise and has developed a significant and very special offer for young people, teachers and parents through her work at SOS Global. She never fails to entertain as well as educate, and has an intuitive understanding of how to run a good business and make a difference in this world."

Peter Reeves

Head Teacher, Dawlish School

"We asked SOS Global to return to the school following the success of their last visit to us. We are keen to provide information about these issues, but realise it needs to be in a way that's interesting and relevant to this age group. As a result of utilising SOS's unique approach, our last experience rose alcohol awareness by over 65%."

PC Gareth Nash

Metropolitan Police

"SOS has a refreshing way of teaching sex education. A lot of the children had been saying they liked the fact it was coming from their perspective, as they find it very down-to-earth, which is a great way to keep them engaged. Tackling issues such as the spread of sexually transmitted infections and the consequences of unprotected sex, the workshop packs quite a punch, but aims to avoid patronizing or preaching."

Alan Crabbe

LGB Officer, NHS PCT walk-in centre

"SOS UK's willingness to work as part of a multi-agency partnership with agencies such as ourselves provides us with an opportunity to educate the general public about sexual health topics in a sensitive and effective manner."

Paula Hislop

Science Teacher, Brixham College

"The students were engaged from the very moment you began. The role-play activity was an inspiration and lots of fun. You held the attention of the students from start to finish, with well thought out activities and resources.

Tim's presentations were relevant and well-suited to the audience and everyone enjoyed listening to the Judge. Students are still talking about him today."

M. Eldergill

Parent, Brixham College

"Your team came into my daughter's school today to teach them the dangers of drugs. I'd just like to commend you on how you talked to them. She came home and wouldn't stop talking about how inspirational Becky's story was.

Becky has inspired my daughter to want to help people with drug addiction/mental health problems."

Simon Weir

Senior Deputy Headteacher, West Exe School

"I am writing in recommendation of Global SOS and the fantastic work they have done in raising awareness of a range of issues in our school. The workshop ‘One moment of madness was stimulating, engaging and relevant.

The use of role-play, personal testimony and real life consequences fully engaged the students. The feedback from students was universally positive.

I would recommend Global SOS without reservation."

PS Lee Kerslake

Somerset and Avon Constabulary

"I am writing in support of the work you have completed…. to educate and encourage positive decisions in children around knife crime.

It manages to provide information and education in a way that will inform their actions.

Thanks for your work to date and I hope you will continue to make a difference to young people’s lives."
