Devon PCT is the new NHS organisation responsible for delivering high-quality health services for almost three-quarters of a million people in the greater Devon area. The Metropolitan Police Service is famed around the world and has a unique place in the history of policing. Today, the Metropolitan Police Service employs 31,141 officers, 13,661 police staff, 414 traffic wardens and 2,106 Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), and, since the realignment of police boundaries in April 2000, it covers an area of 620 square miles and a population of 7.2million.

Dawlish Community College is a mixed, co-educational, inclusive community college that takes students mainly from the seven primary schools which make up the Dawlish Learning Community, the Devon grouping of primary, secondary and special schools within a geographic area. The catchment is mixed rural/urban/suburban with approximately half of the students bussed in from surrounding villages and settlements. Physically, the catchment is large, stretching up to the Exe estuary and west to the A380.
